Donna was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. She graduated from North Johnston High School and later earned a Bachelor of Science from Campbell University. In the fall of 2012, Donna made Selah, WA her home.
After 17 years as a stay at home/ homeschooling mom, Donna began working for Brookside Funeral Home in Moxee, WA in 2013 as an office assistant. Although she left the funeral industry for a short while, in 2018 she earned her Washington State Funeral Director’s License upon fulfilling her internship and successfully passing the Washington State Funeral Director’s examination. Donna then returned to Brookside Funeral Home in June of 2019. Helping families during their time of loss is a heart-felt passion. Her sweet southern way gives her the ability to serve families with grace and compassion. She is also a licensed Pre-need Funeral Insurance Agent which enables her to help families with their pre-planning needs. Donna has also passed the certification class to become a Certified Therapy Dog Handler for Beacon.
Outside of work, Donna enjoys spending time with her three sons, Stephen, James, and Timothy as well as other friends and family. Dancing, hiking, camping, cooking, reading and possibly binge watching a new favorite show are just a few things you’ll find her doing on her off time.
