Why do we do what we do?
When David’s life was cut short, with his woodshop project left incomplete, Jamin was given the high honor and somber responsibility of finishing David’s woodshop project. Once completed, the Mohler and Tatro families had dinner together, and Jamin was able to present the finished horse head project to David’s grieving family. This experience set Jamin on the trajectory of a lifetime in service to the grieving, caring for those who have experienced loss.
It was a simple woodshop project, but it was a defining moment in Jamin’s life. As a young teen, the fulfillment received by making a difference left an indelible impact. That mission has continued to define and shape the purpose and passion of Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory.

This was an unexpected and distinguishing honor that was granted to our firms by the joint convention of the Washington State Funeral Directors Association as well as the Washington Cemetery, Cremation, and Funeral Association.
