Jamin Mohler grew up in Ellensburg. Married in 2000, he and his wife, Kara, have 6 children, and live just outside of Moxee. He graduated from Mt Hood Community College, in Gresham, OR, with an Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science. He has received the designation as a lifetime Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, & is also certified in Critical Incident Stress Management. He is very active in both the Yakima & Ellensburg communities. He serves as President on the board of directors for the Washington State Funeral Directors Association, and has served on the boards of Care Net Pregnancy Center of Kittitas County,  Heartlinks Hospice & Palliative CareGreater Yakima Chamber of Commerce, & Leadership Yakima. He is also an invited speaker on the DUI Victim Impact Panel in both Kittitas & Yakima Counties, where he speaks to convicted drunk drivers on the effects of their decisions. He is also a licensed Pre-need Insurance Agent, a member of the Ellensburg Rodeo's Gold Buckle Club, and a former Sunrise Rotarian.

Leading the staff of Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory is a rewarding calling which he finds extremely fulfilling. He is dedicated to his family, his profession, and his faith. He finds it very rewarding to serve families in their time of need and build lasting relationships with our client families. Often praised for his service, he is quick to acknowledge that he is just doing what he was created to do. He holds the strong feeling that we each have gifts and talents that we are to use in whatever way we were created. Under his leadership, Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory was nominated by his community and selected by the WCCFA & WSFDA Convention Committee to receive the inaugural award as Washington State Funeral Home of the Year in 2019. Jamin has also passed the certification class to become a Certified Therapy Dog Handler for Beacon.

When not serving families, he enjoys spending time in travel, family activities, and investing in the lives of his wife and children. The Mohler family attends Calvary Selah, and has many dear friends with whom they socialize frequently. The Mohler family is passionate about adoption, which has been a tremendous blessing in their lives & they enjoy supporting the various organizations that champion the cause of adoption.
